Clash Royale's research reveals a decline in Christmas card enthusiasm: six out of ten adults receive fewer cards, and a staggering 79% are indifferent. Over 40% even hope this trend persists!
To tap into this widespread holiday apathy, Clash Royale is hosting a humorous pop-up event at Boxpark Shoreditch in London. Attendees can shred unwanted Christmas cards in exchange for in-game rewards – a satisfying way to dispose of cards guilt-free while earning valuable in-game goodies.
But the Christmas fatigue extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's survey uncovered a broader festive rebellion: one in five people want to banish Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," and over 20% of self-described Grinches have publicly voiced their displeasure with Christmas music or opted for beef instead of turkey.
The anti-Christmas spirit even extends to Clash Royale's content creators. YouTubers, such as Orange Juice Gaming, are receiving hilariously awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers), though these come with a twist: Clash Royale-branded wrapping paper containing in-game rewards for fans.
