Captain America: Brave New World clocks in as the shortest Captain America film, and one of the shortest MCU films overall.
AMC Theatres has confirmed a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes, placing it among the few MCU entries under two hours, and the seventh shortest of the 35 films released. This is notably shorter than the previous three Captain America films, all exceeding two hours.
While many shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, several exceptions have emerged recently. The shortest is 2022's The Marvels (1 hour and 45 minutes), followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man. Brave New World shares its runtime with Ant-Man and The Wasp. In contrast, Avengers: Endgame holds the record for the longest MCU film at 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Despite its upcoming February 14th release, Brave New World reportedly underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots, including scenes featuring WWE star Seth Rollins. The impact of these revisions on the final runtime remains unclear.
Starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, this film marks the first Captain America movie since Chris Evans' Steve Rogers retired. Mackie has described it as a grounded espionage thriller, carrying on the legacy of the Captain America series.
The film promises to incorporate lesser-known Marvel characters, including a payoff to a tease in The Incredible Hulk, through the introduction of The Leader. Red Hulk also features prominently in the cast.
