Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Testing: Get Ready for Action!
Activision's official Call of Duty podcast has confirmed the beta testing dates for the highly anticipated Black Ops 6. This exciting news means players can jump into the action sooner than expected. Learn how you can participate in the beta below.
Two-Phase Beta Access
Black Ops 6's multiplayer beta will launch in two stages:
- Early Access (August 30th - September 4th): Available to those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass plans.
- Open Beta (September 6th - 9th): Open to all players!
Mark your calendars and prepare for battle! The full game releases October 25th, 2024, on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
New Gameplay Mechanics Revealed
The podcast unveiled key details about Black Ops 6, including insights from Treyarch's Associate Director of Design, Matt Scronce. At launch, the game will boast:
- 16 Multiplayer Maps: 12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
- Zombies Mode Returns: With two brand-new maps to explore.
- Omnimovement Mechanic: A new gameplay feature to master.
- Traditional Scorestreak System: A welcome return for veteran players, with scores resetting upon elimination.
- Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: No more sacrificing your secondary weapon for a knife!
