Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration
Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six fan conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.
Following Blizzard's decision to forgo BlizzCon in 2024 in favor of alternative events like Gamescom and the inaugural Warcraft Direct, the World Tour marks a significant shift in their approach to fan engagement. The tour celebrates key franchise milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first year.
The six-city tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and concludes in Boston during PAX East on May 10th, with stops in Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, and Sao Paulo in between.
Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:
- February 22 – London, United Kingdom
- March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
- March 15 – Toronto, Canada
- April 3 – Sydney, Australia
- April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
- May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)
While details remain scarce, the conventions are expected to prioritize fan experiences and interaction, rather than major announcements. Expect live performances, unique activities, and developer meetups.
Ticket Information:
Tickets will not be sold. Blizzard describes the events as "intimate gatherings" with extremely limited, free admission. Information on securing tickets will be released through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their local Warcraft communities for updates.
The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. While a late summer/early autumn BlizzCon could ideally showcase the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion, including player housing, Blizzard's silence on the matter suggests a potential shift to a biennial convention schedule. Regardless, the Warcraft World Tour promises a unique and memorable experience for attendees.
