The object of the game is to survive...

When you're first dropped into your world on your designated plot, it's easy to assume your goal is to safeguard your territory. However, the true objective is to survive—simply put, to avoid dying. The game will hurl various threats at you, and your mission is to endure them. Ideally, you'll do this at your plot by constructing a robust defense. But remember, you can also evade dangers by roaming the world until they subside—a strategy that's surprisingly effective. Each survival grants you a "Win" and in-game currency, which is crucial for progression. So, keep an eye on screen notifications, and focus on staying alive.

... dying is completely normal

Don't fret over dying; it's a common occurrence in Build Defense. Death carries minimal consequences—you'll respawn immediately, lose your items, and miss the current wave of enemies, but these setbacks are manageable. You can repurchase your weapons and items, and your structures remain intact against monster assaults and disasters. A new attack wave arrives every two minutes, giving you plenty of opportunities to try again. Essentially, all you lose is a bit of time, which isn't a significant setback.

Build high, not low

Our initial instinct was to build a perimeter wall around our plot to fend off monsters, but this proved ineffective as it left us vulnerable at entry and exit points. A more successful strategy is to construct a tall staircase leading to a high platform. At night, you can retreat to this elevated sanctuary, where monsters attempting to ascend will often fall. Those that reach the top can be met with an array of turrets. This approach is nearly foolproof and should see you safely through most nights.

Don’t just build, explore!

Beyond your plot, the island offers a wealth of activities. You can interact with neighbors, trade ores, and undertake quests. Many quests require a certain number of Wins to unlock, but some, like the Gingerbread’s House quest, are available from the start. Completing these quests is beneficial as they unlock new building components, enhancing your construction capabilities.

The “Shop” isn’t just for premium items

As you advance, don't overlook the Shop. Most items are purchasable with in-game currency, so be sure to accumulate enough Wins before diving in. Additionally, remember to join the Swiftplay Roblox group and to like, favorite, and follow the game to receive a free gift.

When you’re ready, move to the next area

Once you've secured 190 Wins, you can transition to a new area, where the cycle of building and surviving begins anew with fresh challenges, quests, and building opportunities.
