NCSoft has recently announced the End of Service (EOS) for its multiplayer MOBA game, Battle Crush. This news comes as a surprise to many, especially considering the game never reached its full, polished version. After a global test in August 2023 and an early access release in June 2024, the decision to wind down just months later has left players shocked.
When is the Battle Crush EOS?
Battle Crush is scheduled to shut down on November 29th, 2024. The in-game shop has already ceased selling items. If you made any purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, you're eligible for a refund.
Android and Steam players can initiate their refund requests starting from December 2nd, 2024, until January 2025. As the closure approaches, ensure you download any content you want to keep by November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible after that date.
The official Battle Crush website will remain active until May 30th, 2025, providing a resource for any last-minute support. The game's social media accounts and Discord server are set to shut down on January 31st, 2025.
Does it Surprise You?
It's always tough when a game you've invested time and effort into announces its shutdown. The EOS announcement for Battle Crush has undoubtedly hit its player base hard. However, if you've been closely following the game, you might have noticed that it struggled with some gameplay issues.
Battle Crush had potential but didn't quite nail the gameplay. The mechanics felt somewhat clunky, and the pacing could have been sharper. While the game was enjoyable, it lacked that final polish which ultimately led to its EOS.
