Just one month following its launch, which included its availability on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a celebratory trailer for Avowed. This trailer features glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the warm reception the action-RPG has received.
The game's latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These cutting-edge technologies significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing a potential threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. Additionally, the developers have hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game’s future support and roadmap, which are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Beyond technical enhancements, this update enriches the player experience. Players will now gain an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will receive these points automatically upon loading the game. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running, while an accessibility option has been added to increase font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text.
Although Avowed didn’t completely silence critics, it has earned robust reviews across the board. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a standout title from Obsidian.
