Taming Chickens in Minecraft
To gather your chicken collection, you'll need seeds. Unlike dogs, chickens aren't traditionally tamed. Instead, feed them seeds to attract them, then guide them into a pen. Repeat until you have the desired number. Remember, long journeys back to your base are possible; consider establishing checkpoints along the way, especially in Survival mode.
Breeding Chicken Variants in Minecraft
To breed chickens, feed seeds to two of the same variant to produce an egg of that type. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different variants; the resulting egg will hatch a random variant.
