The rules are detailed within the app and available online at https://mauking.com/pravila-igre-mau-mau. Here's a quick refresher:
- Gameplay: The game begins with one card face-up and six cards dealt to each player. The first player to empty their hand wins. On your turn, play a card matching the top card in number or suit.
- No Matching Card: If you lack a matching card, draw from the draw pile. If you still can't play, press "Pass."
- Penultimate Card: Before playing your second-to-last card, click the "Hand" button (simulating raising your hand) to signal other players.
Special Cards:
- Jack: Playable on any card (except another Jack). Choose the next player's required suit.
- Eight: Skips the next player's turn.
- Seven: Forces the next player to draw two cards. Subsequent Sevens increase the draw penalty (4, 6, etc.).
- Queen: Reverses the direction of play.
- Ace: Allows an extra turn. You cannot win on an Ace.
- Two of Clubs: Forces the next player to draw four cards.
