The Emile suite of educational resources has been meticulously crafted by a dedicated team of teachers, academics, and game developers. Our mission is to enhance learning through engaging, games-based resources, which we have successfully provided to over 15% of primary schools across the UK and Ireland. Each resource in our range is grounded in solid pedagogical research and undergoes rigorous testing by educators in real classroom settings.
Emile was born out of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership and received partial funding from Innovate UK. Developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University, Emile is built on a foundation of robust educational principles. This multi-award-winning platform significantly improves learning outcomes for students in key stages 1 and 2, while also substantially reducing the workload for teachers, particularly when integrated with Emile's own schemes of work.
Feedback from UK teachers has been crucial in shaping Emile's development. As a result, we have introduced several key features, including:
- A Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) Emulator, which allows teachers to adjust time limits, customize questions, and accommodate slower learners;
- A comprehensive spelling scheme that targets the statutory spelling words required in the curriculum;
- End of unit and end of block assessments that seamlessly integrate with the White Rose scheme of work;
- Tools designed to support students in intervention groups, featuring auto-generated knowledge gap analyses.
Emile is utilized by thousands of schools and multi-academy trusts throughout the country. It is an ideal solution for homework, classroom activities, both formative and summative assessments, and intervention groups, making it a versatile and essential tool for modern education.
